WILDLIFE

Many of our clients want to make their property excellent habitat for a variety of wildlife and fish species.

We have the experience and the ablility to evaluate existing conditions and determine the land managment actions needed to maintain and improve habitat for a wide range of upper Michigan species.

TIMBER

Silvieus Forestry has over 40 years of experience in timber inventory, marking, cruising, appraisals, marketing, sale contracting, and sale administration.

First we take a look at the existing condition of the timber resource and determine objectives with our clients. Then we walk around the forest with the landwner and get a feel for what they want from their forested landscapes.

Our goal is to help landowners understand what they have and help them meet their timber managment objectives.

WATER AND SOILS

Much of the beauty of the Upper Peninsula comes from the abundance of lakes, streams, rivers, and forested wetlands. We have experience with road and trail construction, including bridges and culverts. We understand local, county, and state permitting processes for wetland and riparian area projects.
